|More than 21,000 beef industry producers and professionals have harnessed the power of instant access to the CattleFax team by downloading the organization’s mobile app.
Launched in February, the app provides real-time information on markets, weather and industry trends. Sponsoring partner Zoetis (formerly Pfizer Animal Health) is delivering content on animal health and management through the app. This powerful combination of business, cattle and operational management information makes the app a must-have for producers and industry members.
“Increasing producer profitability is the goal in everything we do at CattleFax,” said Randy Blach, CEO, CattleFax. “Making it easier for cattle producers to access timely market information, analysis and research can help operators with any size operation make better decisions and be more profitable.
Based on user feedback and growing popularity of the app, an updated version was recently released for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Search “CattleFax” to download the latest version. If you downloaded the original version, be sure to update the app on your phone and tablet.
“The latest version of the application continues the trend of the original,” noted Blach. “It ensures that market information is easily accessible to producers needing to make decisions in a mobile office space, and now provides enhanced information from Zoetis, meaning increased efficiency for producers by increasing their access to animal health data.”
The latest version still includes futures market prices, market news, weather and breakeven calculators. The update offers a variety of new enhancements:
The combination of market and animal health information found in the CattleFax app is unique, and reflects a beef industry where decisions are wide-ranging and, increasingly, time sensitive. By including animal health information from Zoetis, users can access and review cattle health information when and where it is most meaningful to them – whether they are with the herd, in the office or on the road.
CattleFax members can sign into the app using their membership e-mail and password to unlock exclusive content, but most features are available to all users. Non-members can become a part of CattleFax online at www.cattlefax.com/membership.aspx or by calling 800-825-7525.
Feedback on the new CattleFax mobile app has been encouraging. Suggestions regarding how to make the app increasingly relevant in day-to-day business are welcome at [email protected].
