Baumalight continually develops new prototypes and model updates, and they believe the best way to test them is in the field. Currently, they are designing some feller buncher models and boom mowers. The company is offering deep discounts on pre-production or prototype models as an incentive.  The purchasers of these models would be required to provide feedback on how the equipment is performing. With this program, products come with a 1-year warranty on parts only.

They look forward to providing full warranty versions in the future, once all product testing has been completed.

Feller Bunchers

Baumalight’s first Feller Buncher features a 52” cutting disc that can take up to 20” trees. It comes equipped with 18 Beaver cutting teeth from Quadco. The Quadco teeth are made from high-grade alloy steel, heat treated to a high Rockwell rating. The Beaver style, with its straight edges, is much more durable than the Concave style and keeps a better cutting edge longer. Tips can be sharpened right on the blade with a tooth grinder. Holders and teeth are fully rotatable and reversible.

This doubles the life of the tooth and reduces operating costs, since you double your tips for less than one-third more.

Their first model also has an accumulator’s arm included to cut and carry multiple smaller trees before discharging them to the pile. It has an electric-over-hydraulic system which operates efficiently on hydraulic flows as little as 25gpm.

Just one set of remote hydraulics is required to operate all functions if you have an AUX electrical connection. The company is open to requests for new features, larger or smaller models for both skid steer and excavator.

Boom Mower

Baumalight’s new Skid Wing is a skid steer boom mower that features a variable angle reach. It has flail cup teeth for grass or large angle teeth for light brush. The skid steer boom mower is ideal for mowing heavy grass and mulching light brush in ditches with a skid steer.

Different motor options are available for the boom mower. Baumalight can match to any skid steer for roadside and fence line vegetation maintenance.
